On October 27th, the launching ceremony of the new generation wireless mobile communication system for Intelligent Railway in the “National Key Research and Development Plan” was held in Nanjing.
This project is led by Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, with participants of Nanjing Ticom Tech Technology Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as the "Ticom Tech") and the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Yang Zhen, president of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Ji Rongxin, chairman of Ticom Tech, Jose Ignacio Alonso Montes, Vice Chancellor of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, lead their team to attend this meeting. In addition, the launching ceremony invited the leaders of Jiangsu Provincial Department of science and technology, academician of Nanjing University, professors of Southeast University, Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications and Beijing Jiaotong University, and leaders of China Communication Research and Design Institute as consultants of this project.

At the launching ceremony, Yang Zhen, president of Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Ji Rongxin, chairman of Ticom Tech, Jose Ignacio Alonso Montes, Vice Chancellor of Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, introduced their basic information respectively.
The leaders of the national key R & D program make a detailed introduction to the background of the project, the reasons for cooperation, the research objectives, the research plan, the expected results, the benefit analysis, the R & D team and the working basis, etc.

At the meeting, President Yang Zhen issued consultant certificates of this project to the experts,who put forward some valuable suggestions and expectation of the project: Nanjing University of Posts and Telecommunications, Ticom Tech, Universidad Politécnica de Madrid should actively promote project implementation and management innovation combined with the requirements of the national science and technology system reform pilot project. All participants should further improve their awareness of innovation and increase the degree of attention , and fully realize the importance of the project. Project implementation unit and project undertaking unit need to strengthen the legal person responsibility system and the responsibility of the person in charge, strengthen the coordination among the project units and carry out the overall implementation. All units should cooperate closely with an open mind, give full play to their respective advantages, make great efforts in the application of prospective and advanced technology, so as to ensure the timely completion of high quality R & D plan ask, and achieve advanced results in the world.
